Australianflora.com.au is an Australian based producer of top class professional photographic prints that are for sale on this Internet site and through some galleries, museums and a small number of high end print agencies.
Our organization is made up of a small committed team of professional photographers based in Sydney, Australia. Although the team is based in Sydney, the photographers move around our beautiful country to photograph plants, flowers, trees, wildlife (and sometimes scenery) in their natural state.
The majority of the prints we're offering are taken from the 20,000+ transparency collection of professional photographer Tony McCormick. Tony photographed these images during 30 years of trekking the Australian back country as well as the Australian National Parks and forests where visitors are often unaware of the beauty hidden in rarely visited ravines and valleys.

Our Sincerest Thanks
We would like to state here the assistance that we've received in both the photographing and identification of much of the flora and some fauna shown on this site:
- The various Australian state Parks and Wildlife staff members who have gone out of their way to help in finding specimens to photograph. Particular thanks go to Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife officers who never failed to provide useful information and generally assist with enthusiasm.
- The professional staff at the National Herbarium in Canberra and the Sydney Botanic gardens who helped with the difficult tasks of accurate species identification.
- Authoritative published scientific authors such as Lawrie Johnson, Alec Dockrill, Don Blaxell, Mary Tindale and Len Webb whose writings helped turn a passive wonderment into a lifelong passion for our main photographer, Tony McCormick. Tony also cites the great and famous Dr. Stephen J. Gould (Professor of Zoology and Biology at Harvard University) for crystallizing all Tony's "whys" into the understanding of clever biological strategies for survival by flora and fauna.
