Based on Eyre Peninsula in South Australia, since 2009 Laura has been capturing the beauty of Australia's native plants and flowers in their own, natural habitats.
Treading lightly, Laura works with the elements at each location to showcase her subjects from a place of honesty and respect. The interaction between Laura, her camera, and the moments she wanders quietly into are as gentle and intimate as her treatment of the natural landscape.
A cloudy day and delicate hand are all Laura needs to diffuse enough light to create her signature white backgrounds and botanical style. Her work is inspired by the raw, yet fragile beauty of the Australian bush, and the resilience of our native species that survive this harsh Australian climate.
